scrambler plow hookup?
I have an 04 scrambler 500 4x4. I need to put a plow on it for spreading/leveling some driveway gravel and to plow. Found several good deals on atv plows on craigslist. Problem is I have no idea if they are quad specific. Do I need a special plow for my 500 or will any plow work with the correct mounting bracket? I have no winch now but will get one. Just dont want to buy a plow that wont work. Im thinking around a 50" blade. Any input would help. Also, how hard are these to mount/dismount?

more than likely, the blades/ push tubes are generic. meaning a company will make 1 or 2 kinds of blades that fit all quads. but the mounting kit is make/modle specific. also, differant company's make there mounting kits slightly different so it's safe to say stick with 1 manufacturer.
there really isnt a whole lot to the mounting kit... a guy could probably retrofit one or make his own. i have seen scramblers plowing snow so someone must make a kit... or this guy made his own... either way, it was doing a great job! as far as gravel etc. i have never tried it with mine, it might be a little much?? dunno, maybe someone with experiance pushing/ leveling gravel can chime in.

i have used my snow blade "home made" for gravel. it worked fine for spreading it. but its a bit wavy for smoting it out as the front springs on my sportsman flex just enough to either dig in, or do nothing. its kind of a pain to do with a front blade. i have a rear pull behind for grading drives.
