Well, I like my 99 400 Scrammy 4x4 so much I picked up a nice used 2007 500 4x4 for the wife!

It has no manuals and no one seems to know it's history.

Question is, what kind of motor oil should I run? I'm very partial to Mobil-1 synthetic in my vehicles, not sure if it's OK for ATV's. I'd like to run a full synthetic if possible. Also, what oil weight do you guys recommend?

I'm in Montana and it'll be run in generally cooler temps, say 20-60 degreees.

stock polaris oils from the dealership are full synthetics 0w-40. so any other brand is ok too, and usually cheaper.

The new polaris oil is 2W-50, dealer only oil because of the (2W) part. Check all the fluids on the machine and change out what fluids you are not sure of or dont know the history of, also look at the rubber CV boots and check for grease to see if any have a hole in them. Clean/replace the air filter and grease. I suppose simular to your scrammy in general mainence and such.
