how much play should there be in the front axles and prop shaft as i have alot of play when wiggling the shafts.

 

There is always some play. What machine do you have and how many miles?

 

It's a 03 400 sportsman with 2400 on it.

 

You may need u-joints. Best prices I have found are on ebay. As for the prop shafts themselves they typically have some play in them as they loosen up a little over time. Shouldn't be an issue. Your cv's will have some play too.
