Default Spark Plug Change

Hi guys- just wondering if you have any tricks or how you replaced the spark plugs on your 08 800's?? I want to change mine out this weekend. I have been putting it off because of the lack of space in there. Let me know...

thanks!!

Jeff

This is funny as I am the same, I bought NGK 4 months ago for my 800 and haven't done it yet.

My dealer told me they go through the right side of the bike if your sitting on it, for the 2 of them, says there is room and that's how they do it, so I will have to try myself.

Good luck.

Default Spark plug

Pull the side covers off and make sure to blow out the holes really good before removing the old plugs. Have to be somewhat of a contortionist but it's not too bad.

I know my 2006 600 twin is nasty. I have to go through the right side of it to get at both and the one on the far side drives me crazy when I take it out. Have fun

Ditto on what Switz said, but why are you changing them already, are you switching to NGK's??

The only reason I ask is.......When I brought my Sp 450's back in for there first service at the dealer (50 hours) he took out the NGK's and put champions in there.....He is a very high volume dealer and I did not question him too much about it.....Even though I would only use NGK's in my Snowmobiles.........Caper.........
