Default Need Answer Fast!!

last night i was driving my 850 XP and this morning i tryed to start it and it just makes a clicking noise was runnning perfect last night anyone know the problem?

sounds like a bad soloid try pull starting it if it starts then thats probely your problem

You can also check the battery terminals to make sure they are tight, one might have loosened up.

Check battery connections,if they are tight check battery voltage..if the starter isn't getting enough current the solenoid will just click.

200es..the 850 doesn't have a recoil starter.

No pull starer on an 850XP, and i wouldn't want to try if there was one.

i'll check the connections when i get home and i charged the battery and its good but still making the clicking noise and my cousin who works at a dealer said they had a 850 XP there and after 100 miles the starter went lol hope my didnt go either but i will post when i get home

just cleaned the battery connections this monring and still clicking?

short the 2 solinoid posts out. see if it starts that way. if no go on that is the starter. or you could take a test light and check for power on both sids of the solinid.

Yeh, I would try to jumper "short" the solenoid like chuck said, and If is fires up, you've found your problem, also I have the service manual for you bike, if you want it shoot me PM
