I'd first recheck your pilot and main jets. If has to have choke to run, sounds like fuel starvation. Also can check the fuel line, disconnect line and crank engine over, should have decent flow. Can eliminate fuel pump if flowing ok. Also what stendori said! Bad about splitting at clamp.

I had both the 2 intake tubes go bad on my 02 700. They both split and were dryrotted like crazy. That is exactly what mine did before I replaced the to intakes, also check your plug wires for worn spots (even if the cores not showing, it arcs through the rubber) so tape them up.... another thing make sure that ur not running with out the intake neck(ontop of the lid) that makes mine stumble all over its self.

If the machine is warm enough to build up pressure in tank could be clogged vent line could also poss. be the choke, idle and or throttle adjustment

i have checked the fuel lines and they flow the fuel **** is perfect um spark plugs wires and caps are working with no flaws as goes the jets there is no clogs everything is good and there was no visual damage on the rubber boot and i actually ran it with out the air box lid and it ran better so should i tinker with the air/fuel mixture

not trying to be a smart *** or call you stupid. But the cracks are or can be hard to see, best thing to do is(mine was so bad that i could push on the carb and it would seal the crack and idle with the choke off) but take carb cleaner, ether, or brake cleaner and spray it on both your boots. What about the intake gasket on the head?

I just fixed that on my 600 it was the carb mount boot. Couldnt tell until I pulled the carb.
