Stupid ATV tricks! (Fun thread)

I have two good ones.
First one involves my 02 700. First day out on it with my drinking buddies we had a few too much and one of them tried climbing this washout unsuccessfully. I told him I'd show him how it was done and hit it a little fast. Ended up with it on top of me and they had to pull it off. No damage to me or the wheeler and we had an extended beer break while it sat back on four wheels for a bit.
Second story involves my 05 800 a few deer camps ago. We had built a road to our cabin through an alder swamp(after getting permits) and one of the guys had rented a dozer to do the job. He had gotten it stuck in a wet hole to the point that even bigger equipment had to be brought in to get it out. Come deer season I had stated I was going to tackle the big mud hole with my 800(6" lift/29.5" Outlaws/etc). They said it couldn't be done. After way too many beers I hit the hole(at night) and when I dropped in half my wheeler went down in one of the super deep ruts a track had made. Had to jump off and hold the one side to keep it from flipping. Finally got upright in the hole and the guys positioned themselves to pull me out. I told them to make way and gave it he!!. Came out of the hole almost completely vertical and throwing mud everywhere.
Needless to say I don't drink and ride like that anymore!

Two weeks ago we got 6" of rain in 48 hours and of course that means high water and lots of mud mud mud. Just had to go out. Called my brother in law to go ride but sis was being a bag and would'nt let him get away. Now normally when I go riding especially in the swamps I never go it alone, it was just to tempting. So of course here I am running down trails I know like the back of my hand and come to some high water and thought it's never more than 2' deep at worst. Wrongo!!! Wash out! I hit it hard and oh s#*t I'm driving a sub-marine. Got it stopped but to late I'm stuck and gurgling. Climbed up on rear rack and just get the intake out of the water. Called the B in-law again and said now you have an exuse to go ride. 30 minutes later B in law finds me doing a balancing act on the *** of the wheeler still running no less . Lesson learned, always have a buddy!

after riding all day like a maniac, trailered home, unloaded scrambler, mashed throttle and hooked up instantly, straight up wheelie. me being a moron, I thought I'm gonna ride this bitch out, 40 feet later and rear bumper 4 inches into the dirt, it bucked me off. then the funny **** happened, this thing acted just like the tasmanian devil, it pitched sideways on the bumper, slammed down on the left side and continued forward until the front fender dug into ther ground and flung the scrambler into the air. I had grass jammed into the headlight, throttle block, master cylinder, taillight- keep in mind the brakelight is inset into the rear plastic and also protected by the rear bumper, also my ***. the front plastic actually ripped from the front to the gas tank. the machine stopped about 250 feet later upright on its wheels, idling and laughing at me, WHAT A DUMBASS. RALMAO
I failed to mention that half a bottle of 100 proof rootbeer schnapps was encouraging me to hold the throttle wide open for so long, I'm glad I lost that bottle half way through the ride that day.

Yea alcohol and ride'in don't mix too well. --IMO
My neighbor was saying that I should tie a sled on the back of my ATV and
pull my kids around in the snow. Anyone done that before?
I don't think I am willing to do that, too much could go wrong and I don't
like risking my kids health. Besides we go NO SNOW here anyway. lol....lol
Cheers,

No not yet and really I don't want them at these younger years to, just a personal preference. My kids don't even know how to ride a bike yet...lol...lol
Lost out on that deal with the wife, just sold her SP450, so not too eager to go that route anytime soon. Never say never though, but thats where I am now w/r to this issue.

Yes I tow my daughter around the yard on the G.T. Sno-racer all the time .She loves it...........Just a word of advice always wear a helmet on the child and do it when your not drinking!!
Also don't make the tow rope too short, The smell of the exhust fumes is no fun for the child.........Caper........

Not a "trick", but REALLY STUPID!!! I installed the Quadavator override switch so the button doesn't have to be held down to activate the override when you are in a difficult position to hold it. After winching another quad out of a mud hole, and forgetting I had turned the switch on, I stood up and leaned over the front to guide my winch cable in. Stupid thing 2, I still had the bike in reverse. My leg hit the throttle, and I went over the bars. Breaking the lever off the throttle, bending the bars, and leaving me face down in the mud and rocks. A Sportsman 800 WILL do a wheelie, BACKWARDS!!!!
It stood all they way up on the front, and scratched the &%^$# out of it. I ended up riding back to my truck using a pair of needle nose Vice Grips clamped on the stem of the throttle where the paddle broke off. My riding friends did say it looked pretty cool, wish they had video!
