Anyone running this setup and any clearance problems?

Default Itp

What size tires are you looking at? Should be able to go up at least one inch with no issues.

just look at your clearances around close parts to give you an idea of how much room you have to play w/ and to give an idea of how big you can go w/ the stock set up. agreed 1 size up in height shouldnt be any issues. imo

Tires are 27x9x14 front and 27x11x14 rear. Tires are wider than stock and may need wheel spacer's in the rear to bring them out a little due to the backspacing on the stock wheels. Front should be no problem. Any pics of this setup or something close would be appreciated!

Default xtr`s

I have those same wheels and tires on my 850 right now. Haven`t had any clearance problems, a couple times it did rub, but that was from hitting a deep rut going a bit to fast ..i cranked my shocks up one click i haven`t had any problems since

Have them on mine and am using the stock rims, unless you have a 2010 model your rear swaybar should rub your machine's tires when the quad is jacked up, unless you bend the swaybar. What people have been doing is bending the swaybar with a strong rachet strap HighOctane at Highlifter forums did a Thread on this XP with 11" XTRs on stock wheels...no spacers..or trimming.. I did this and it works fine without any problems. IMO I dont like the idea of spacers, it works the bearings and axles more. Some people are suggesting the 2010 swaybar will fit on the 09's and is supposed to give more clearance, but haven't seen anyone do it yet

Thumbs up

Jomax -- Nice setup with those ITP tires! Really re-defines the look of the XP.

The swaybar off the 2010 won't work on the 09. They have the swaybar in front of the rearend and relocated the battery to under the front rack.

I took my 27" Mudlite XTR's with 14" ITP SS Rims off of my 08 800 Sportsman and put on 09 850 XP with no problems unless it was fully loaded down and hit a real sharp bump and wven then was just a little rub, no major issues.
