Default what have you guys done

hey i have a 500 scrambler and my battery constantly gets gunked up with mus water etc and no longer works. what a bad place to put a battery right under the fender above the rear wheel where all the mud and water keeps getting sprayed on it. my question is what have any of you tryed that works to fix this problem??? it is a very annoying problem cuz sometimes my battery does not charge and i have to remove the cables clean the mud and dirt off and it works again.

Buy a can of spray on battery insulation from an auto parts store and coat terminals.
Buy a rubber welcome mat and make a waterproof battery wrap.
Coat battery terminals with wheel bearing grease.

take cables off battery and coat w/ dielectric grease and it will keep the connection good. the spray stuff works fairly good as well. imo
