Winch Question

Default Winch Question

I have a 09 sportsman 500 efi and i picked up the Trail tammer from cabelas made by superwinch. I would like to know the best location to put the solenoid.It says to mount it in a place where it will keep dry and was wondering if there is a certain spot where polaris puts there's?

look under the front right side (while sitting on the atv) under the fender behind the tire right where the angle is. there will be a black steel piece with 2 10mm bolts holding it on. mount the contractor to that. there will also be the oem winch power and grond. the power side of the at the other end is by the battery and will need to be connected.

I put mine mounted to the back wall of the rear cargo glove box. The wires come out right near the back of the seat. Stays dry and is tucked away so it real doesn't take away much if any real estate in the cargo box. Just make sure to silicone the whole where the wires come out.
