Default 2010 850 xp eps

Well guys, finally pulled the trigger and purchased the new 2010 model. Been debating the '09 for about four months and decided to go '10. Got the dealer to throw in a few accessories all for a pretty good price I think. Pick the beast up tomorrow. Can't wait to get it out on the trails this weekend.

Thumbs up

Good stuff Dingo: You will love it. I got mine about 3 weeks ago and the 2010 works better than the 2009 850 I recently had. Enjoy and ride safe.

Ye please do,I would like to hear about it as well. I have heard of some of the physical changes, but nothing about actual operational differences.

Thumbs up 2010 850xp EPS

Sorry it took so long getting back. When I stated works better, for one I find the front end a little tighter more firm at faster speeds, even trail riding. I don't think just moving the battery ahead made any difference in steering, I just find the front end tighter. I had my wife on the back and she said that the 2010 ride is smoother than the 09--. The setup is the same on the shocks. It took along time for my 09 to loosen up on the motor, about 3-400miles. The 10 runs like it has 300 miles on it. Very responsive on the throttle and the front does lift if I hammer it without sitting far back. I weight close to 260lbs. The 09 I had to stretch out to make her walk, not this one.One last thing for now. I drove most of the afternoon today. A full tank of fuel ran out at 71 miles. I only have 121 miles on the 2010.

hmmm, that's interesting. I see some making reviews and comparisons on machines that are not even broken in yet. Thought I was the only one who thought the 850 needed some break in time.

I do agree with you on the break in. To me, whatever brand of machine anyone buys new, they all have a time period to loosen up. Be it 1 tank of fuel or 100 hrs etc. I think when I get a few more miles on my 850 it will get to be more responsive. I am waiting for my mounting system for the commander treks, put my tracks on and make this work alittle to break her in faster. I will play with the clutching to suit my driving habits in a week or 2.

Well if they are comparing it to another machine that isn't broken in what is the difference? Does the XP take alot longer than every other machine to break in?
Let us know how much better yours gets in the next year or when she finally gets broken in.

I think he means 300-400 miles. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

How much did you pay for the '10 XP850 EPS?
