Default 07 800 Primary

My Primary has some slop in it when grabbing it with belt off. Does anyone know what parts I need to repair. It is still working ok, but figured I should take care of it before it goes. Thank's in advance for your replie's.

when i grab the primary I guess I can move it 1/32 of inch.I have heard that there is supposed to be no play. I could be wrong. It has 1550 miles on the machine. I do have a dalton spring in it and the driven also has a dalton spring.

Thank's

there shouldnt be any movement of the primary on the crank shaft for sure. but that isnt much movement on the clutch. maybe the primary buttons in the spider slides are a little worn but it doesnt sound like very much. imo.

Best practice with 1500 miles is to dis assemble the primary clutch, and evaluate. If money is not an issue, then I would replace the crush washer, new slider buttons, and for sure check your weight pins making sure you have no grooves in them from the weights. Weights and spring should be in good shape.
Secondary clutch; replace the buttons, check ramps on Helix for wear, clean thoroughly, and inspect spring, both ends should line up when looking down them, if not, replace spring. One thing to remember, is there is a grease ring that you want to make sure gets some grease in it, and rough up the sheaves a bit with Scotch bite pad, throw a new belt on it too.
