Default Polaris Scrambler

Just picked up a 1998 500 scrambler this afternoon, need help it has no power would not even go up a little bank in back yard belt don't seem to be slipping please help good with hot rods but not atv's

Check the ramp buttons in the secondary clutch

It won't run but about 30 MPH, Can you explain please??

+1 I would verify the clutch first, before looking at others possible issues

Thanks guys found the problem bad gas bad plug and and bad diapham in carb fixed running great now how can i get the most power out of it and how big of a tire will it take ( mud tires we have a honda 350 with 2 inch lift and 28 vampires they will go in the mudd great)

Not a good idea for bigger tires on a Scrambler.It can be done but you loose handling and loose topend due to the way it has to be clutched to compensate for the big tires.Pluss with no low range you will be smoking belts.

I was thinking like 26/25 swamp lites on alum wheels. What is the best muffler and clutch kit i could run the stock muffler was cracked we put a short glass pack on yesterday easy to install cheap is entirely way to loud.
