Default 2000 polaris trailblazer

i have a 2000 trailblazer and it has spark, fuel, carb kleen, good compresion, starts some times and runs. most of the time it won't start i know it is something electrical. but can't figer it out. my cusin said that the reverse limiter retards the timing to limit it ,and that i will need to find out how to by pass it and throttle switch any suggestions

If you got spark, I doubt that reverse limit has anything to do with it. Just limits RPM's in reverse. That should not keep it from starting.

i have found that on the thottle if you hold the contacters inside together and crank it over then break the contacters open while still cranking it will try to start for that split second. did this a few times once it did start and ran fine, turned it off after about 15mins of rideing and nothing again. same crap. im gona burn it!!!!!

Are you talking about the ETC? (electric throttle control)

I don't think you can get rid of the etc. There should be an adjustment in the throttle cable by the handlebars. Have you tried adjusting it any?

Trying to see if I have the factory service manual saved on my work computer. If I do, I'll try to get you the info on that.

Well, thought I had saved the manual here, but I guess I didn't.

I do have it at the house, so if you can bear with it, I'll get that to you.

pull the black wire off the rev limiter box. when you pull the oil tank cover off the front of the bike it on the left hand side (if your infront of the bike looking at it). pull the black wire off that box and try again.
when was the last time you did a compression test?
have you check the crank seals?
