never really done it yet... but i'm planning maybe next time.

 

I have a similar type bead breaker. Works decent if you have something solid to mount it on. Using the truck to do it works well. When doing it at home I just take them to a local dealer and they pop the beads for $5 and then I mount them myself.

 

I must be old. I couldn't get mine to break. I think it was $8/tire to just get my tubes put in local.

 

I've done all my own tires atv,truck tractor or what ever. If you got the tools it's pretty easy although I found out breaking the beads on 9 and 10 inch rims to be a little more challenging. Usually takes a few trys. I made a bead breaker out of scrap steel that works slick. Now I'm designing a better breaker that will fit into the hitch of the truck and is portable. Any one think I could make some money off this or someone already got a patent on something like that.

If I get time tomorrow maybe I'll try and take a pic of my proto type I have'nt started on the one that mounts in the hitch it's still in my head. Snows coming soon and so much to do and so little time to do it in.

 

Almost forgot, I'm not real computer savvy just know enough to be dangerous. How do I post pic's onto the forum. Is it like e-mailing a pic?

 

Go to your profile/garage and find the add pics option. Once they are in and saved you can attach them to your posts from there.

 

I figured out how to upload pic's but keep getting a failure notice. So if anybody wants a pic of my proto type, send me a private message with your e-mail and I'll try sending it to you that way.

 

Its $10 a tire here and even a truck tire is only $18 and thats Canadian Money. Go to a different tire place.
