Default Which Polaris is for me???

Here are the models I am looking at. All are brand new. 07 sportsman 800 Limited Edition 5300. 09 sportsman 500 HO 4500. 09 sportman 500 EFI 5300. 09 sportsman 800 EFI 5800. And finnally 09 XP 550 6000. Alot of good choices at very good prices I just dont know which one seems like the best deal. Thanks in advance.

I'd go for the newer XP 550! I like my SP800 but now after having it, I'd rather have better performance and features Vs. beastly power. I don't need it for the kind of riding and utility I do. -- IMO

It's $1500 more than the 500 H.O
I would get the well proven Sp 500 For $4500 and it's a 2009
it's sounds like a very good deal to me.......Caper

plus I think you will be happy with it.......IMO

Ask your self, What am I going to use it for? Do I want more power, handling, comfort and the questions can just go on and on. If I needed somthing to work around the yard and fields with ocasional trail riding go for the big bore. More for trail riding not so much work, go with 500 or 550. Super handling go XP. It's up to you and what you feel would best suit your needs. The 500/550 have good power and are more than enough to satisfy most people, but if more power is a factor it's kind of a no brainer. go 800

Agree...depends on how you will use it...if it is mostly a work machine go with one of the 800's,or even the 500..they are work horses..if you moslty trail/recreational ride the get the XP..if you do a 50/50 mix...get the XP..if the 850 was in your choices it would hands down be my pick for work or play...jmo

I went to Alabama because of the good prices for our 850, a good place to buy. For $4500 I would get the 500HO, we have had 2 since '02 and they have been great with over 4000 miles of Colorado and Utah trails. If you want something with a little more show go with the 550 if you don't mind the cost, they would probably have better and quicker resale later.

if you want good fuel milage i would go w/ the lower cc bike. i would either get any of the 09' modles for the price. the newer bikes have the better tech. vs say the 07'. pretty much i think you should narrow the choice down and then test drive them and see for your self. imo

Thanks for all the responses. The ATV would not really be used for work. Maybe a little work but more for trailriding and playing. I am almost leaning towards the 500 HO since it is priced so low. At least with that one I could use some of the money that I would have spent on another quad for accessories on the HO like winch, brushguards and what not.
