Default 2007 700 Radiator Fan

Hey guys- my friend has a 2007 700EFI. The radiator fan quit coming on this past weekend while we were out riding causing it to overheat. He just took a look at it today and found that the fan would run for about 5 seconds and then would never come back on. Hoping you guys might know what the problem is. I'm still digging through posts here to see if someone else has had the issue or not. Thanks in advance!!

Jeff

BTW- finally got some miles put on my new Outlaw. Absolutely in love with that machine! Tons of power!!!

Try disconnecting the thermal sensor which is located near the top od the radiator and then turn the key on. I think the default for that year is that the fan would run constantly. If the fan does not come on, you may need to try to a jumper wire in the prongs where the sensor was plugged in. If the fan then comes on you need a new thermal sensor. If the fan still does not come on answer back and someone will continue to help with the diagnosis. I had the same thing with my '03 600 and i had to use the jumper wire tio get the fan to come on. I ended up having a faulty sensor.
