Default Polaris Breeze electric

Hey all,

I got an email for Polaris today on this new Polaris Breeze Electric (golf cart). Whats up with that? I didn't know Polaris made those, or they are new in trying to enter this market?

Ref: 2010 Polaris Breeze Electric Neighborhood Vehicle : Features

I can see it now folks buying them and mod'in them up. Any Snorkel Kits to go thru those
deep mud holes on the greens? lol..lol

Regards,

R'

I don't like how they try to cover so many markets. It's usually a flop, but we'll see. The people with money right now are probably golfers.

They're making an electric ranger too now aren't they? The EV or something?

I know that the electric utility machine market is growing. Stuff like the Bad Boy Buggy etc seem to be selling well.

I know I've considered an electric vehicle for use on the farm. When gas gets up to 4 or 5 dollars a gallon or more it is going to be prohibitively expensive to use an ATV as much as what I do now and an electric vehicle would be a wise investment. It would be even more cost effective if I charged if off of solar and a wind generator.

Is such a vehicle as convenient or as capable as a gas ATV or a gas side by side? No. But when gas is 5 bucks a gallon and supplies are limited it may be the only game in town besides a horse and wagon.

I think they're relaxing the rules on NEV (neighborhood electric vehicles) and are now even offering tax breaks on them. I see it says private road use only, but bet it's wired for anything they may need to meet the specs of a NEV.

My mom spends part of her time in a community with a lot of retired people. I'll bet you could almost go door to door and sell something like that if you tell them they get a tax break too.

The Government is now in control of our electricity. I'll stick with gas any day just for that reason.
My feeling with the environmental BS and electric this and that.....is to "convert" us to all electric. Then they have full control.

I get the convenient and noise factor with the electric, but the "going green" ploy is what bothers me.

I'm convinced when Al Gore talks about going green, he's referring to his wallet and not the environment.

There is an electric Ranger out there with AWD and the whole nine yards. Goes about 35 miles on a charge and has 3 ranges. I'll stick to gas engines.

I can see a lot new accessories coming out for the Ranger EV. If you drive in a real sunny area most of the time, a solar panel roof for charging would be an E-ticket. Bummer parts would be high current draw accessories as in winches, bright lighting or any other amplified equipment. I like to think Polaris to be on the cutting edge most of the time.....now is good as anytime, to go thru the bumps of new technology on electric UTV and ATV..........i thinks....NoJoke
