gas leakin

Default gas leakin

there is gas drips on the bottom of my tank, i have a 2002 polaris sportsman 500 h.o, im thinkin the tanks got a leak but idk. has anybody had this proble before? and what is the best way t check this

is it leaking out the petcock where the fuel line is hooked?

you might have to remove the plastic around the tank so you can get a good look at where its coming form. it could be the fuel line or maybe the vent out of the tank that is leaking the fuel or the tank may be cracked in the worse case. you really need to follow the leak up to find where it's coming from.

May be a gromet in the bottom of the tank - about a $5 part. This part holds the line in the bottom of the tank.
