uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage is for liability only, won't effect your quad in anyway. what is does cover is you and your bodily injury/pain and suffering, if the other persons policy doesn't cover what you need or they don't have any this is where this coverage comes into play. medical coverage is a toss up, if you have your own health insurance it should cover you and you are basically double insuring yourself carrying medical coverage but sometimes your health insurance has deductibles and you may want to carry medical coverage here. every state is different in there laws so you may need to ask questions. also get several quotes but make sure they are similar to compare. also your credit score plays into determining your premium so that is something to watch out for. yes I do sell insurance and I have many different companies I use.

I am an insurance as well and medical coverage can be very expensive for atv's and motorcycles especially for the amount you get and type of coverage based on your particular state. It also depends on what type of health insurance coverage you have. If you have high deductible plan, you may want to carry something so you don't have to pay for anything out of pocket. It is always a good idea to do more then get quotes but sit down with an agent so that he/she can help determine what coverage you need. American Family does not use a credit based insurance score on atv policies so your credit is not a factor for that type of policy.

I have MARKEL insurance and think they are a great company. I totaled a Sportsman less than one year old and they paid for me to buy another. The cost are determined by the value of the machine and the zip code of your residence.

I can vouch for Markel-American also.

Just received my renewals for Dec 24, 2009 through Dec 23, 2010---

Full coverage for my 2004 Polaris Predator 500: $75
Full coverage for my 2008 Kin Quad 400: $42 Total Quads: $117
Full coverage for my 2003 Kawasaki KLR650 motorcycle: $86

My 2001 Kawasaki Concours is currently uninsured (it's awaiting new plastic thanks to a suicidal deer).

Yep thats yearly........my 2001 ZX6 Ninja cost me $84 a year. Progressive really does have great prices. I switched away from them on my cars though, they are ******** when it comes to making a claim.

Yes. Annual--policy period is Dec24, 2009 through Dec23, 2010.

Kinda of a weird policy period, but when I purchased my 2001 Kawi Concours, the dealer delivered it to my home on Christmas Eve, so that is when my insurance policy renews.

Driver history, credit rating, age, and zip code are all factors in policy premiums.

Yep, I have progressive for around $90 a year... without the trailer. Not sure why, but adding the trailer is like $50 a year more?
