ok to use regular coolant instead of polaris oem?

I just went with my uncle to pick up his 2010 Sportsman 500 and the guy at the dealership told him he could use regular automotive coolant during the walk around he gave. I would hope the dealership did not give him advice that would void the warranty. Perhaps an email to Polaris is in order.

Generally a 50/50 mix will get you to about -35 (F) -- Even if it gets a little colder than that - the mix will just be slush - not frozen solid.
