Default HD springs or regular??

I have an '03 600 twin and the springs are now sagging bad enough that I am getting stuck due to the loss of ground clearance. I am wondering if I should go with some HD springs or not. I do not plow, but I occasional haul trailers or ice fishing equip, etc. with the machine. I also use the front rack to carry an ice auger. I don't want to end up with a really stiff ride, but I was thinking that the HD's should be the way to go. I am about 250lbs and also ride with my seven year old with me. I am looking at getting the EPI's instead of the Polaris brand. Any thoughts???

I have the Highlifter HD springs front and rear on my 09 and i love em..not to much of a stiff ride well its not so giving but a much better and stable ride to me anyway..and the only reason i went with the Highlifter was because trax motosports gave me a hell of a deal..Shane there is a good dude...The good thing about epi is the choice of color

the springs would put it back to stock highth. the extra weight that goeson the wheeler over a period of time wears down the stock springs and makes then weak.

I put the Polaris HD springs on the X2 and love it. It is on the stiff side, but makes it much more predictable when going downhill especially. No more bottoming out the suspension going downhill.

The only Highlifter ones I saw for my machine are the progressive rate springs which I am sure are fantastic, but they run $175 a pair and I can get the EPI shocks for $80 a pair. The Polaris HD are about $96 a pair.

My main thing I am trying to decide if I should go with the HD's. Is there a better chance that will not wear out as fast? My main concern is to get my ride height back but I thought if in general the OE's are junk, then I would try some HD's. My main concern is to get my ride height back but I don't want to sacrifice the ride quality. Is there a better chance that the HD's will last longer then the OE springs??

Do the EPI shocks include springs? Does any know anything about aftermarket struts for the front?

I find on the softest settings the HD springs still soak up the bumbs well.

Get the epi's they are a progressive rate , I think I gave around $100 for the pair on the front, I put springs off an mv-700 on the rear, was a little stiff for awhile but they are starting to soften up and ride better, they were only like $50 for the pair from polaris.

I just went back to EPI's website and I see the front are progressive rate springs. I will definately be getting those. Now I just need to decide on whether or not to get HD's or the regular for the rear. I am still leaning toward the HD........Polaris or EPI?

One other question..Is it the front or the back that need to be compressed when changing? I thought I saw a while back that the front(?) could just be removed by loosening all the hardware but the back needed to be compressed????
