Default 1995 250Trail Boss oil injector

Hello Everyone ,
What a great site. I have a 1995 Trail Boss with a the oil injector system.I have been getting word that this system sucks. I want to know what is the best way to disconnect the system so I mix my own gas mixture.I know the injector works off the carbs and has a rubber hose to the tank .What do I do with all the components of the old system. Any advice would sure help.
Thank You

This is the most reliable injection system on any machine they very seldom go bad.
Best thing to do is not listen to the guy that has never owned a Polaris keep the oil tank full and ride.Remember Polaris started out with 2stroke snowmobiles and has 2stroke injection mastered

i have a 250 trailblazer i disconected the oil injector but it wouldn't run at all there is a float in the tank that shuts the engine down so i just unpluged the hose and plugged it off and mixed the oil in the gas and works just fine. but keep the tank full or it will not start. i blew the engine up on mine 2 times because the injector quit working

I will thank you!!
I have managed to round up a manual and have everything back to factory specs seems to run great.

I have to agree that Polaris make a great machine. If I can only tract down my electrical problem with my 2000 sportsman 500 It will a great New Year !! I have one more day to figure it out !! (speedo and headlight go out at 35mph when unit slows down everything starts working again)

Thanks again and have a HAPPY NEW YEAR

next time it does that, try checking your circuit breakers, they are wrapped in black
waterproof plastic bags, if one of them is warm or hot then you've found the problem. it might be under the hood

The problem occurs when I am traveling around 35 mph the speedo goes out along with the headlight, I release the throttle ,begin slowing down and poof everything returns to normal , its the funniest damn thing I have ever ran into.I have traced down all the grounds and it appears normal, all connections look good . Im baffled I wont give up !!I will check the fuses next trip thanks for the advice.
