Default 250 started,,,no throttle

So I got my trailboss started and it will stay that was until i either give it some throttle or put pressure on my break handle....and also when it will go W.O.T i see some sparking coming from the exhaust right behind the heat shield...wondering if that would contribute to the lack of power and why would pulling the break lever cause an interruption in the throttle...thanks in advance...

Does the engine shut down when you apply the brake?

i would try and find out extactly where the sparking is coming from. mabey electrical? when you rev the motor the viabration causes a wire to short out on something. and when you hit the brake lever it activates the brake light, causing current flow to a short. just my .02, hope you get it figured out!

I agree with TRX. is your battery charged and/or charging system operating? If not the brake light may cause the ignition voltage to drop. Try unplugging the brake light at switch and see what happens.

agreed. you sure the charging system is working on this bike? the only way the brake could effect it is thru the brake light it slef due to a short or drawing power the bike isn't putting out.

i would be checking the output voltage w/ a meter to see if it's even charging and go from there before i buy a battery.
