Necessary mods (Sportsmans)
#1
All -
I was wondering if we could put a necessary mod list (not upgrades like a K&N filter maybe) together for Sportsmans runners. By mods I mean like the front sag issue with Sportsmans models SP450-800 classes and even XPs to boot if apply.
Example:
Front Sag = Resolved by hockey puck/PVC coupler
Grips = Get some anti-vib/fatigue Vs. stock (I.E Oury)
Please add!
Thanks,
R'

For me> Hand and thumb warmer's.
3-light mod.
Heavy duty front spring's.
Coolant overflow vent 07 and earlier.
Grip's, stock grip's are brutal.
A good battery to keep the efi running correctly.
I'm sure to think of more.

Forgot to mention please feel free to add recommended brand part. Like for example Outback's mention of battery. What type battery, watt/amp etc.
If this thread builds with great results maybe our moderators could find worthy to add as a new sticky or add to theirs above?
Thx all,

I bought replacement grips for the XP before I picked it up, but they have improved greatly on the XP over the old SP grips, which are awful. I like the XP stock grips, and instead put the grips I bought for the 850 on the Kawi, which needed upgrading.

I would love to see this as a sticky too with everyone listing what they have works or doesn't work, found from trial and error! Would be cool to have a subforum on clutching and performance mods for these sportsman. Every shop you call has a different opinion on what works, I don't like to waste money on sales pitches! Please post what you have found that works!
