Hey,
I have a 2001 sportsman 400 and there is steam coming off the radiator. There are no leaks in hoses or fittings with a little colant loss. The clear hose coming off of the recovery tank at the radiator cap is brown. The steam is only noticeable when 1st warmed up at idle, but is enough to condensate on light. After its run for a while its not noticeable. Is this a problem or a normal thing? Thanks for any help..

I dunno but, what is the temperature out there and did you go water riding or mud riding a day or two before?

Perfectly normal, you have nothing to worry about. Thats just mud and water on your header pipe and radiator burning off. I come home from riding and if I just do maintainance and dont wash it, I have mud/water on my pipe, radiator and numerous places that may not dry for 3-4 days.
