Default sway bar mod question

Just bought a set of bighorns for my 550xp. I did the sway bar mod (24 3/4" outside to outside) but was wondering how much clearance is needed with the bike sitting on the ground? I have more on the left side than the right side but it doens't seem like much.
Thanks

Default sway bar mod

as long as you have clearance with it jacked up( thats as close as it's going to get) you will be fine

I would say a 1/4" on each side would be good. It comes down to what you feel comfortable with to have peace of mind. Mud build up is another consideration on how much clearence you want.

I over did it on mine and had to remove my muffler and aluminum shield to get the bar back in place, so I have way more than enough.

Yep...jack it up and let the rear suspension hang and you'll see the clearance at its tightest. I would want at least an 1/8th or so with the rear hanging..that will give you more than 1/4",probably closer to 3/8" sitting static. But as long as it isn't rubbing when the rear suspension is extended you are good.
