Default cdi

cdi box is under the head light panel on the right side of the voltage regulator if i remember right. and stator is under the right side engine cover should be able to ohm out the stator to check it.

Try disconnecting the black wire that comes of the CDI unit.

souns like he's not sure whats wrong w/ it totally and is going to throw parts at it w/ your money. i would want to know what he means and have him explain to you what he is refering too abot a surge and what other parts. imo.

Talking

ok i stopped in and talked to him about it. he said that there was no power from the stator and when that goes it may have surged and fried something else, like the cdi box or ignition coil. he said that he's not for sure if this happened or not but wanted to let me know that this is a possibility. well i guess i'll just hope for the best as it's in his hands and mine are tied. still waiting on his quote for the fix though.
Have a good one, guys!!

He thinks its the Stator or knows its the Stator?
I find it surprising that a Stator is dead after 2 years.
Most problems I have had with no spark have been a dodgy earth for the kill switch disconnecting the black wire from the CDI usually tells you if there is something wrong there. I'm still running around on the farm with the wire disconnected because I need the Bike running whilst we are picking fruit
