MOOSE foam air filters,$7.00 cheaper than uni filter or should i pay $50 for K+N?????? want maximum flow +protection........

 

just remember the more air flow in can also mean more dust to get in the engine aas well. just a thought. someone posted a while ago that uni filters let more air inthen k&n but i don't know myself.

I have a moose filter on the Prairie 300, but a K&N on the 850. The moose seems to work well, but i didn't notice any performance increase on that little prairie and it's whopping 18 HP. Going to the K&N didn't make a noticable difference on the XP either, to be honest. I only paid $35 for the K&N too. Got it off Ebay.

 

If you ride mainly in dusty areas go with a UNI if you want performance and better air flow go K&N. For most 4x4 utes the foam filters are the way to go.

Yea dusty conditions and K&N's don't mix...I went back to my stocker....Didn't notice any power gains with the K&N either...JMO...

I use the factory pre-filter over the K&N too, just in case of a dusty run, but usually I'm on woods trails, and they aren't too dusty even in the heat of summer.

Why pay $50.00 for a K&N and put a pre-filter on???(My contitions need a pre-filter)
I don't think there is such a thing as Max. Flow and protection on a ATV!
