Moose Plow Skid Question/Problem
#1
First year with my Polaris 800 HO with 60" Moose County Plow, warn winch etc...
My DW is 600' gravel/run-a-crush and is a little bumpy.
I have the stock moose skids and they are not doin the job, the mounts are bending causing the skids to dig.
I'm looking for a sturdier mount or better skids . Any thoughts or ideas??
I'm also looking for plow lights, I'm trying to find some LEDs to keep my power consumtion down??

there have been some post on the brighter lights if you do a search you might find a few post to read. can you take out your skid/shoes to make them out of heavier duty steel that won't bend? not sure what they are made of and design so it is just a guess.

Sounds like your driveway is more than a little bumpy.
Could you have your skids extended out too much, making them weak? I would think they would only need to be about a 1/2 inch lower than your blade.
Either way it looks like you are going to have to be looking for a welder / fabricator to gusset and box your mounts and to make you better skids (ski design).
I would also think about getting the drive graded this summer.
Good luck bill
