Default 850XP Wheelies

A while back I seen this vid with a guy doing a super long wheelies on his 850XP. My question is can other people do wheelies on there 850?
I can't seem to do it on mine and I'm wonder how?
My bike is completely stock except for handguards and rack extender. Maybe being stock is the problem.

Any thoughts?

I put the dynajet kit and epi clutch in my 700 and can pull wheelies all day. Not sure with the EFI'S though?

I can stand my 850 up pretty much at will. Low or high, though it is easier in low. I've even stood her on her tail a few times. All I can wonder is how many miles on yours. Mine didn't really wake up, powerwise, until about 100 miles.

After riding a 500 for years the first time I rode our 850 it came up with no problem, had maybe 2 miles on it. Power took a little time getting use to.

Thanks for the response guys. Are you saying that you can do this from a dead stop and just gun the throttle and it will perform a wheelie? Not holding the brake a little and letting the engine rev up some? My bike has just over 100mi on it, stock tires too. Often when I gun the throttle rear tire will spin or I just take off very fast. With all that power I can feel the rear squatting but no wheelie like I have seen another do.
Your thoughts are very much appreciated, thanks again

I can do wheelies on my 700 with a brush guard and winch, and stuff in the front box holding it down. But I do have to put my knee up on the seat and hold the brake to engage the clutches, and then floor it. So I think you'd be able to do them no problem on an 850

I realize traction is key when trying to do this, I forgot to mention that earlier. Also I am sitting down on the seat and shift my weight to the rear. I am around 170lbs. I don't think that is to heavy

Thanks 700 sportsman for the input.

It shouldn't matter how much you weigh. It should wheelie easily if you are getting traction.

Now, I hear that the 2010's have less low end in the clutching to try to add to the top end speed. If this is true, maybe that is another thing.

Lower air pressure could help some plus low range will get you up for sure.

Put it in low gear, hammer it and it should come up nicely...
