mine went into a pond last november and floated. It floated upside down though.

 

upside down wow never had that happen(knock on wood)..never seen it in person that had to suck big time

 

i sunk my 2000 sportsman in 2001 in a river. had about 2k miles on it. i was driving up river. the water was just under the floor boards. kept going. it got a little deeper. well then the water was about recoil hight. so i decide to stop and back up. well on the way backing up i got stuck in the sand. 4 wheels spun. the sand got washed away and it sunk. i could just see the top of the handel bars. it sucked it water, and shut off. had to get a neighbor with a tractor to pull it out. pulled it back home to the garage. took the cvt cover off, air filter cover off, spark plug out, drained the oil. let it sit for 2 days to dry out. put oil in it. new air filter, fuel filter, oil filter. it started up. and put another 5k miles on it. sold it with 7k on it. with out an issue with it.

 

im still finding problems with electrical shorts because of it...

 

that sucks big time. dielectrical grease is ur friend
