how to pull codes

Hey I read about you guys all the time talking about different codes, How do you pull trouble codes on a polaris?

My buddy has 2005 400 that is acting up.

turn the key on and off three times (not starting the wheeler) and the third time leave the key on and it will take a few seconds... then the code will flash. I am not sure if it will work on that model. I think its only on the EFI machines

as mentioned it for an efi model only.
