Default Lift Drama!

Got my 6" SuperATV lift yesterday and started tearing down to install today. Found out AFTER I got the whole rear taken apart that the brake line extension is wrong and I only had one for the main rear line and not the linked line. The popo guru at SuperATV was off today and they tried to help but never got back to me before close of business. Looks like they didn't catch that the 09's have a banjo bolt at both ends on the main line so a whole new line is needed. Looked back into my 05 800 stuff and saw that had a flared fitting at one end. Even went to the local Napa to unsuccessfully find a long enough hose to do the job. My popo dealer found an 05 one on the shelf so I'm either going to get that and mate it with one of the Napa lines or see what spiegler has to get for a custom length line. Hoping the folks at SuperATV help out with that purchase. Heard they are really great to deal with. Heading out to the garage to at least get the rear lift in and maybe tear down the front end. Hoping to have this done soon and get some pics up!

Thanks Sten. Looks like it's going to be a good fight. Have to massage the new rear upper shock mounts so they will work with the HSP pipes. Getting the highlifter hd springs was a snap though so at least I made some headway before calling it a night.

Nothing can ever be too easy, but sounds like they are good folks to deal with, so hopefully they will help you out

I certainly hope so. Probably going to have an extra $100 tied up in brake lines and the hardware kit is all jacked up too. They need to revamp their instructions because most of the hardware supplied to bolt up the rear end is not right and I haven't touched a piece on the rear yet that isn't going to work without some tweaking/grinding. About ready to pack it all back up, return it, and chunk out the extra grand for a Gorilla kit. I know it didn't have near the problems when I installed it on my 05. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Probably take some pics after I have a little time to cool down. Don't even want to go near the garage right now. I'm sure it will be sweet once it's done but having to wait while my wheeler is tore apart in the garage drives me nuts.

A few pics of the project. Got the rear together but had to do a lot of grinding on the lower rear a-arms so the carrier would fit. Hope the folks at SuperATV are ready for a bad Monday morning! time to slam some coffee and start on the front!!!

My bad-compressed them too much for downloading! I'll take some more today if I get more time in the garage. Got to entertain my daughter today. Did manage to get most of the front end taken apart before she got up this morning. I may get it done tonight depending on when her Mom picks her up.
