Default Brakes on polaris predator

The Front brakes on my sons Polaris predator 50 are not working properly. It started with a simple cable lube(boredom) and has turned into a much bigger problem. After i lubed the cables i found that the right brake was locked up so i removed the wheel and took everything out and cleaned it. The pin that spreads the breaks was locked up. So after putting the brakes back together a couple of times(the pin has to be a in a certain position apparently, not 100 percent its right but i have it spread as much as i can without rubbing) i thought i had it all back and working correctly. Only now the piece on the front brake handle that holds both the left front and right front brake cable wants to swivel and thereforepulls cables unevenly. Not sure how to proceed now. any advice or suggestions would be great because i have exhausted all other resources.
