Default Hello everyone

Well its my first post and i apologise if im in posting in the wrong place. i just got a 1996 polaris 425 magnum 4x4 that wasnt running. well i have gotten it running and it runs great. my problem is that the guy i bought it from had bought a new drive belt for it and its an not a polaris replacement. it a Jason belt. i dont know if thats the problem but the belt doesnt seat inside the secondary clutch when i rev the motor everything looks ok the belt drops down inside but when i let off and the belt stops it sits back on top of the secondary. if i was to put the clutch cover back on it the belt would rub on it. and on top of that i seem to think that the belt is too loose but not quite sure. i have bought a manuel and have gone through it. just dont know if i should just start by buying a (dayco HP2003) belt and going from their if need be. ideas appreciated

Use oem # 3211077 belt and IF clutches are ok you shouldn't have any problems. Some aftermarket belts are too wide. OPT

Wear items in non ebs clutches are usually the 3 ramp buttons in the rear clutch, the front clutch main wear items are the six clutch buttons, but try correct belt first, may be all that you need.
