I would like to put the Pred cylinder and head assem. on my scrammy. You can get a 600cc big bore for the pred but not the scrambler.

The 35hp Fuji 500 used in the Sportsman/Scrambler and 42hp Pred 500 motor are different. Ones a SOHC the other is a DOHC.

I don't thing moving from a 40 mm carb to a 42mm would make any noticeable gain.

These guys have a 600 and 628 big bore kit for the scrambler. http://www.fourstroketech.net/

Plenty of Scrambler stage kits here. http://www.aaenperformance.com/Power500.asp

yeah, i went from a 30mm to a 34mm on a 250 and Major League dif,,,,,,,,,i guess it depends on cost and tunability, the 34mm on the 250 was involved but after a few changes it was well worth it,,,,,,,,,

Default preadator carb

the scrambler carb is a cv type carb ,i read that it works off of air box vacuum. you cant mod the air box that much . I tried running mine without the lid , it ran like crap. The preadator carb is not a cv carb and not sensitive to air box vacuum instant throttle and air box can be modded anyway you want. Eventually going to put one on mine.

Pretty sure the predator carb is also a cv carb. Its a 42mm mikuni, same carb as on the outlaw 500's and the bomb's ds650's. As I still have the stock carb from my DS and i'm looking into getting a scrambler, has anyone had any success changing the carbs?
