Default New Trail Boss 330 - things to watch for?

Hey guys, just picked up a new out of the crate 2009 Trail Boss 330 for $2600.00. An out of state dealer had a great deal on this thing in my opinion.

I love this old school quad! Any things to watch out for or look at on this model? My last Polaris was a 1998 Xpress 300 so it's been a while (yet the Boss is a LOT like that old Xpress).

Looking forward to some Summer riding!

i got 07 TRAILBOSS. same thing as yours basically.

my oil cooler line is leaking. I guess there is a redesign on them which probably took effect when yours was built.

Other thing is my motor is louder, but i was told these motors seem louder then normal. I am going to have my clutch checked out as the local polaris guy said it might be worn a little.

if you drive it in the snow, swap the rims side for side so the treads are backwards and you can go through some snow! .

other then that i like it. I payed 2600$ for mine too!. cant really find a new machine for that little. Let alone a chinese one!

good luck

My wife rides a 2007 and that thing goes everywhere my sportsman 500 goes !
I have been really impressed with the Trail Boss.
No issues yet, except for a couple flat tires.

New for $2600! Yes, I would say that is a great deal. Around here, SE Michigan, those are going for right at $4000.

Good for you, enjoy.

Yup, I almost couldn't pass it up. For an American made quad with tons of available parts, simple setup and proven track record, I couldn't have done much better.

I will pass the Boss off to the wife in a couple years and upgrade to a Sportsman 500 or Rancher 4x4. In the meantime it will meet my needs fine.

I did take her out on the maiden voyage and she had no issues. Very content with my purchase so far.

Default TrailBoss 330

I just bought my wife the 2010 and so far the only thing that I don't like is the vibration at idle. Does anyone know if that's normal, it causes the handle bars to shake and a vibration noise if you are not holding them.

Other than that that machine is great, I'm very happy with it.

I wish I could have gotten that 09 for $2600.. I paid $3899.
