Is the powerplant on a 500 HO worth modding?

ck out aaen performance make some nice stuff also try four stroke tech they make a big bore for it a 600 kit wich they say doubles power so should make around 80 hp aaen site says on dyno stock 500 makes 38 hp just using those #s i was thinking about buying 500 to duild a four stroke tech kit (fst) but wating to see what 2011 are hope this helps i have had aaen do alot of work for me and have always had great luck also i would rather modify than go to bigger like 800 850 and so on kinda a sleeper then

I'm not going to tear into the motor unless it is already blown up.
It's nice info to have. If I do blow it up then I have something to look forward too.
I was thinking more in the lines of pipe, jet, and K and N air filter.
I've been having a difficult time finding info on the gains and even good setups.
