Default First warranty Claim

Ok so I took the X2 in for two Issues to the dealer.

The first issue is the bedseat when I go to pull the seat out of the bed the plastic binds on the back of the hinge this problem was there from the start the dealer told me that it would go away which it didn't. So the service guy went back and forth and said ok they will warrenty it.

The next problem is that when I turn at slow speeds I feel a click in tight turns on the handle bars. So I clean the quad take it off the trailor at the dealer and try it on the pavement and it doesnt do it(thats what always happens to me). So the dealer said that they will look at it and if they see nothing wrong with it they are going to charge me a minimum of 90$ for an hour of labor WTF!!!!!!!!!!!! So I told them to not look at it.

No my gripe is what happened to the days of they look at your bike and say nothing is wrong so you owe nothing. If I take my truck into the shop for a problem and the mechanic says there is nothing wrong with it I dont get charge is this just me having a good mechanic or is this dealer just an ***?

They must think you're a complainer and trying to keep you at bay. You'll have to try and figure out what's wrong and make sure it happens when you're there....if possible. My dealer would not charge me for looking at something. They're all different.

I know....I've been through it. Not worth paying 90$ an hour until you can identify it or reproduce it with certainly. Keep looking.

What year, how many miles, etc? Somebody else might know what you're talking about.

If anyone I just spent 10 grand with 15 miles back down the road didn't take a few minutes to check out my ride, I'd politely suggest they get extra fire insurance, cause they would need it. That is just wrong.

I think he's saying he'd burn down the dealership....but I could be wrong

Wonder if that noise you're hearing could be the rear axles? There was a bunch of axle issues with XP recently due to axles that were slightly too long. I could hear a definite clicking when I turned the bike. Have never heard of it on X2s, but possible I guess. Probably just something simple rubbing you need to locate.

They should fix the rear tray....Not sure what's up with that. Did they give you grief about looking at the hinge too?

Where you located? Maybe someone can point you in the direction of a good dealer. If my dealer don't find anything wrong then he don't charge. Within reason of course.

Im in Green Bay, WI and all I wanted the guys to do is take a quick look at the steering. I mean what would that take once the tires are off 5 mins? but no I will get charged if that glance over finds nothing wrong. I told them to do nothing I'm going to another dealer.
This aditude is why I bought from a differnt dealer. They where going to charge me shop time to look over my 99 sp 500 before I could trade it in I laughed at them and said not a chance and they lost out on 8 grand with a stupid coment.
