Looking to upgrade the stock steel wheels and, at least for now, keep the stock tires. Want inexpensive but sturdy aluminum wheels. Any opinions/facts out there? Also, once the rear tires wear out, what are the best tires for good, all-around use? (hard pack, mud, little sand, rocks, etc)

I have Douglas Black Label 160's on mine, Ive had them for about a year with no problems, They are stock size and Identical to the polaris ones accept they are alot stronger and look alot better, I bought mine from recreation tire and everything including shipping was $155.

On my rear, on my quad I mean, I have red lable dougles rims. They have been very good to me. About the tires, listening to what types of riding you mentioned I would say the best tire for you would be bearclaws. They hook up in sand, give great traction in mud, and also give a pretty smooth ride on other surfaces. I only have them on my front but my friend has them on all four and we both love them.
