Default 50cc Scrambler no power

Hi there, I have a 50cc Scrambler and it runs good but has no power. It starts with no problem. It idols fine but when you give it the gas it sounds like it falls on its face. It does move but it acts like it is struggling. Thanks

Clean the carb jets and needle and seat, if the gas has been in a while or machine has been sitting, drain tank, refill and put a little stabilizer in the fuel. This is usually what I have to do with em! Also (depending on year model) there is a limiter on the cdi that can be removed to get full power. WHAT year model is it?? OPT

If its an 04 or later 2-stroke, the limiter is actually a small jumper plate on the cdi. Just loosen the two screws and remove the plate, then the machine will have full power. OPT

Good! Glad you found the problem! This is another problem area on the little ones.I have been known to use a bent long punch to open up the mufflers that get stopped up too! OPT
