Default cv boot guards

I'm looking to add some bootguards to my 07 500. What have you guys found to be the best protection. So far I've found the stick stoppers and aluma-tech to be decent but would like to hear your opinions.

I'm having trouble finding pic's of the stick stoppers for my model. Does anyone know if the front guards protect the front and rear. From what I've seen it's just the front and underside but not the rear. If that's the case I can easily build my own with diamond plate. The rears look a little more complex/PITA and probably just be easier to buy them.

They cover the front and bottom, not the back.

I also have the stick stoppers on my 700...They have done a great job so far...The only bad thing I have experienced with them is the mounting bolts protrude thru the bottom of the plate and sometimes the nut catches and snags on rocks or logs...I'm not sure if they all connect the same way or if they changed the mounting system but that is my experience with mine...They went on in '05...But I am very pleased with them...

Well I had insomnia last night so I headed to the garage and came up with my own front guards. Made them from 3/16 aluminum plate, a little spray on bed liner and ta dah! Now I'm debating on whether or not to drill drain holes in them. I guess I'll have to do a test run in the slop. I may try building a set of rears on my next sleepless night.

drain hole for sure and take them off in the winter or you have to clean out the snow from them every ride or it will mess up your shaft

Yep, after thinking about it for a bit I think I will put a few drain holes in to make it easier to clean out mud and debris. I'm not to worried about snow since it stays parked in the garage which I always keep at a minimum of 40f

Sweet job, looks very professional. Do not look home made at all. I wish I had those skills and machinery to make a set that good looking.
