Default won't idle after warmed up

I have two 500 HO sportsmans that i bought brand new two weeks ago. these are both 2010 bikes. we took them out for there first trip to Mud Buddies in south texas last saturday. The bikes ran great except they would not idle well after they warmed up. they would idle lower and lower, i had to keep screwing in on the idle screws. one of them is all the way in i believe. the RPM would slow down to about 800 gradually and then dye. this would only happen if you stopped long enough to change gears or say hook up to another bike to get pulled out or pull someone out.
thanks for the help

With them being 2010's I'd take them back to the dealer . Something must of been wrong from the factory so let them fix it . I'll have 8000 miles on my 08 carb by this Sunday and I don't think I've ever had to adjust my idol .

don't even mess w/ them and take them back as a dealer could refuse to fix them under warranty if you have messed w/ it. imo

Also make sure they are cleaned up REALLY good inside and out. Heard a lot lately about dealers hosing folks on their warranties because they see mud/dirt/debris in places it shouldn't be a and pull the "owner abuse" card.

The lock nut on the throttle ETC switch is was not tight. Here a Video on it. Happen to me a few time no big deal. Polaris ATV Thumb Throttle Maintenance Tips: Polaris ATV Maintenance & Repair Tips | eHow.com

You want to set you carb idle screw back as it was before you fooled with it.
