track drive

I bought this as a second sled 3 years ago for $1800 Canadian (Must be $1000 U.S) it has 500cc (70mph), reverse, two up seating, hand thumb warmers, electric start and 136" long track . Love to see a track ATV keep up with it.

For $3000 U.S I could get this used id think.

Hey TLC, not all of us want to go fast. I appreciate what the tracked quad does at a slower speed and thats the draw for me. Starting on a steep slope in deep snow is where the tracks shine. With my sled, it would just bury itself and I'd start shovelling. Never been stuck with the tracks, YET.

I can make a fast sled go slow. I,m just saying the ATV tracks up here in Canada cost $2000 plus used $3000 NEW for $2000 I can get one heck of a snowmobile due to there high volume and low resale value.
No trial breaking up here ,someone has already been there I find.

I agree with Mongrol. If sledding is your thing then that is fine but I think DrZew was looking for opinions on tracks and how versatile/easy to install they are. If he's looking for year around use then they are the way to go IMO.
