Well my machine should be ready monday, complete engine rebuilt. I'm getting excited, though I'll probably only be able to pick it up on wednesday and ride on the week-end. Means I'll have to break engine in myself this time but i don't mind, just happy to get it back. YAHOO!

Was this the repair that was supposed to take about a week??
Be sure to let it warm up good before you giv it too much gas, a new engine is more prone to cold siezure than a broken in one.

Sat. March 10. took a drive out to dealer to check on machine. The engine is back in the frame and they are awaiting for a couple of pieces to arrive. prediction for it to be ready to roll now is Wed or Thur. Looked like a nice clean job so far and I'm really getting anxcious to ride again as our weather is awesome.

Thanks dodgeram! I sure our weather here will stay. if anything it will rain but usualy this is the beginning of our spring, there's no snow unless you hit the high elevations. I just really miss not being to go out right now, but it could be worst like for a lot a people out there. I could be living somewhere where there is 4'+ of snow still, now that would really suck.
By the way that's pretty cool the way you have your banner thingny going back & forth.

We have drifts over 8 feet deep in places here in Nebraska. The snow came with a big wind, making all the land look flat. Under the snow, there are dips and ditches you can't see. When you bury it in several feet of snow, you are not stuck, you are STUCK!!! Makes me wish I had a winch or something.

Ah I feel for you guys out there where there's lots of snow. It was the same way when I lived in northern Ontario, long winters that just never seem to end. Here where I now live, we had a couple inches and it melted the next day but it rains more often. Still the weather has been pretty decent lately & I can ride year round wich is great.
I just help my buddy to-day pull his engine out of his Explorer as he wants to rebuild it, it has over 6000 miles on it. So the sad thing is I'll be riding by myself for awhile. Oh well, should give me enough time to break in the engine:-)
