4WD won't disengage
#1
I have a Scrambler 500 4x4. I recently had to replace the front left CV joint. Now whenever I am in 2WD with the rear wheels spinning, the front left wheel will engage. Did I reassemble the CV joint wrong or is there a different problem?

I think there is a different problem because in the Dirt Wheels shoot out: HOnda Rubicon vs. Polaris Sportsman H.O. vs. Suzuki Quadmaster vs. Polaris Magnum, they had the same problem with the Polaris Sportsman 500 H.O. which has the same high output engine as the scrambler

O..K..Indydave, lets see if I can make you understand this a little better.....ok u ready...the new Sportsman 500 H.O. and the Scrambler 500 have the same High Output (H.O.) engine...this guy says hes having problems with the 4x4 on his Scrambler 500 engaging when the rear wheels spin even if the switch is turned off. I am saying that I don't think that he put the cv joint on wrong because in the dirt wheels shootout the Sportsman 500 H.O. kept going into 4x4 even when the switch was off also (same problem the dude had with his Scrambler 500) so I think it could have something to do with the High Output engine (H.O.)or its transmission because they said that this had never been a problem on the regular Sportsman 500's (96'-00') just on the 2001 Sportsman 500 H.O............SO WHAT I AM TELLING HIM IS THAT I DONT THINK ITS HIS FAULT THAT THIS IS HAPPENING I THINK ITS SOMETHING ELSE THAT HE NEEDS TO ASK A LOCAL DEALER ABOUT OR SOMETHING. I JUST USED THE THING WITH THE SPORTSMAN AS AN EXAMPLE.
