Polaris should replace the engine because that look like a manufacturer's (FUJI) defect. Shame on Polaris if they do not!

I do not know about a whole engine but obviously something was not right when it came out of the casting. These atv's are a whole lot more reliable on the engine side of things than sleds are and if this is an isolated case and your dealer is a good guy and has a good repoire with Polaris, I would think that you should do no worse than a replacement head and a set of gaskets. They may want to have the dealer put the engine back together in case there is something that you may have missed but hopefully they do something for you.

I have had sleds burn down 40 miles out on the first trip and had to put pistons and rings in them but it is rare to see them flip a new engine to anyone unless they really want to see the old one.

Good Luck and by all means keep us informed as to how things turn out.

I think it has to do with us Canadians being able to bend over and grab our ankles without complaining!

I guess I never ever did think warranties would be different from one country than another, how about Alaska, wonder if theyz warrantie is only for six months, they must have about the same conditions as You,at least once you get out of the matsu valley.

Well the atv has been dropped off, will find out next week but the owner made it clear he was willing to fight them to get this fixed completely, pricing out a 2nd new atv while ther might help. Year end discounts seem strong this year, but trade in values suck as usual, going to try the end of the lane approach next week wiht our remaining 2005 500 ho sportsman.
