Does anyone make a replacement exhaust for 2005 sportsman 800? Can you, or should you switch from dual to single? Is there better aftermarket products than the OEM exhaust set up? Thank you in advance.

Aaen, HMF, and HSP sell single can slip-ons. HSP and Big Gun sell duals. There is a slight HP gain going to a single but true duals produce the best sound and they are pricey. Wouldn't trade my HSP's for anything-they sound really awesome!

 

everything i have read (like on here) going aftermarket duals don't gain much if any extra hp compared to spending the money. imo

 

Sten is right on the duals. No hp gains. What you pay for is the sweet sound!

 

Maybe I'm weird but I like my 800 quiet, got more power than I need too. I'd like to make it silent.
