Default Where Is the Oil Going???? On 800????

Got an 2010 800 with 500 miles on it...It started running funny making all types of top end noise when it got warn..not overheating warm.. So I Took it to the shop..Now I Just had the oil changed and inspected before the ride all fluid levels where good..Then came the noise...so its been at the shop for over 2 weeks..here to find out..Over 1 1/2 low on oil...WHERE DID THE OIL GO???? the dealer said because the front end is ALways in the air..Wheelies/Water/and My Heavy Thumb thats just how it is.. The oil went some where...it dont smoke..dont leak oil..no oil where it shouldnt be...so WHERE DID IT GO??? That is the question of the DAY!!...Alot of times I'll park at a slop also..

My 08 800 used about 1/2 qt every 100 miles. No leaks and not much smoke, but a little.

You would see the smoke if it was burning that much (4.8 oz an hour or so). Clean the machine up and look for leaks around the oil filer and spots were there are gaskets.

It's suprizing how much oil will burn with so little smoke. Remember, your pipe is in back of you. Your burning it.

Watch the exhaust pipe when You very firstly start the machine,if it smokes then clears up it is the valve guides, after the machine is warmed up,have someone follow You,cruise along at a good pace, maby about thirty five or so,let off the throttle for a few seconds then get back on the throttle again,if it smokes when letting off and getting back on the throttle then it is most likely the rings on the pistons.
